Why is there a cold and hot sewer service charge on my water bill?

I just got my water bill and it is way more than I thought it would be. I live in San Diego, CA. So i'm being charged for water (cold and hot) and well as sewer service. What i am confused about is that there is a hot sewer service charge and a cold sewer service charge. Both amounts are the highest on my bill. Why is there a hot and cold? What does sewer service entail?|||You should only be charged for water and sewage. You heat your own water. That is one interesting question. I would definitely call my water company and find out what is going on.





I lived in Florida for 35 years, The system they used in Pensacola was three months out of the year Dec, Jan, Feb, They took that water reading and made a average. This is what you paid for sewage for the next year. Being it was in the Winter now water was used for lawns or car washing, everybody took the car to a car wash and fixed all leaks.





But HOT and COLD water change???? that's a new one on me. Keep us posted...
