What is the charge for buying and selling securities using a demat account?|||The charge of your broker is about 0.5 percent per trade. Intra day is much lower. (Buying and selling on the same day). Only about 0.1 %. However, the Demat charges added to this could be something as low as 10, 15 or 25 rupees per trade. Also, STT is added to your total charge which your broker sends. Now to add to all this many Demat accounts charge about 500 rupees per year service charge for maintaining your Demat account. Of course all these amounts may vary depending upon your broker and the kind of service he or she provides you.|||The Demat charges vary per bank. If you are a preferred customer they may waive the maitenance charges or give discount.
