How much will the government gonna charge in tax and service charge?

My brother was working in US since last 12 years he died in a tragic accident in US some years back and there was some money in his account. How much will the government gonna charge the tax and service charges if I get it transferred to my account here in India, say my account is in SBI, mind you my brother was staying alone there so now cant open NRE account as well.|||I'm not sure what all that means but unless he had hundreds of thousands of dollars in his account there won't be any taxes.
