Why does my bank charge a $5 service charge from my savings?

I use to bank with Washington Mutual but then it changed to Chase and now all of a sudden they take $5 each month out of my savings? Why?|||Not sure about chase, but at my bank if my savings is set up as over draft protection for my checking I get a 5 fee every month. I would call them and just ask. It may be something you can take off so you won't get charged.
